The Market On Tuesday

Good morning. It is 49 degrees and sunny here in the Upper Hudson Valley. A sunny day is forecast with temperatures in the low 60s. That is rather pleasant for us at this time of the year. Yesterday I was outside actually doing a little house painting on the exterior part of my newly rebuilt wall. I may do more today. Somehow we are missing the severe winter conditions that are plaguing the Mid West, conditions which are clearly an act of god as punishment for that area's poor electoral choices.

At 8:50 a.m. ET futures are slightly higher and the price of oil per barrel is up. The market is poised to open higher.

It's good times in the stock market as the indexes continue to push into higher and higher record territory. I'm surprised no one is calling this the Obama Stock Market. Regardless, fluffiness is on everyone's mind yet we know better and know that trends can turn on a dime.
