The Market On Tuesday

Good morning. It is 65 degrees and cloudy here in the Upper Hudson Valley. Rain is expected later on. I think it's safe to say that we are all very sad and pretty shocked to hear about Robin Williams' untimely death. There will be a lot of words written about his depression and suicide and we will get many messages. One thing that we do know is that it isn't material wealth and fame that causes ultimate happiness. Those things can help to put some ease into one's life but it is our internal world that needs wealth. Depression is a wild harsh beast of a thing and some of us know what that means. Still it is our work to find a semblance of contentment and ease of being within ourselves, our internal self. We all have jobs and lives but this is our main job, become happy through and through.

At 7:45 a.m. ET futures are modestly higher and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open higher.

The Russian-Ukrainian crisis is causing a lot of problems for the German economy. Germany is one of the world's largest economic powers and Germany is central to the economic health of the E.U. Also note that the price of oil is down. This is very odd given the disruptions in the Middle East especially in Iraq. Iraq's oil wealth must be intensely protected militarily.

CNN: Stocks: 4 things to know before the open
There was more evidence of the damage the (Ukraine) crisis is causing Germany.

Oil prices continue to drift lower...
