The Market On Tuesday

Good morning. It is 50 degrees and sporadically raining here in Upstate NY. We need the rain, and how. Very happy to see our new garden get watered by nature. We have lots of seeds and some pre-started plants in the ground with more planting to go. Actually we only have about 4 - 4'x4' squares planted with 12 more to go. I am hoping to be up to my eyeballs in organically grown backyard vegetables later on in the Summer. Now we are talking dividends.

At 8:00 a.m. futures are moderately down, the dollar is up against most major world currencies, and the price of oil is down per barrel. The market is poised to open lower.

Investors are freaking out about Greece's major shift in political affiliation. The Greek people are now all socialists, or as FOX News would call it - communists. Whatever happened to Islamo-fascist-communists anyhow? We just don't hear enough about them these days, in my opinion.

Can we blame the Greek people? No we cannot. They are p'd off but good over losing all of their social safety nets and then some. But as you know, they are out there floating on a test bubble readying the strata for the likes of the USA and that means you and me.

Austerity is not the answer to this financial crisis. Much attention has been placed on failed austerity measures which fundamentally are the severe privatization of previously publicly owned institutions. Once again it's all about the 1% needing everything and the 99% taking the brunt of the loss and even paying for it too.

Economies are not quite the same thing as a household checking account. If you only have $10 and you spend $11, you bounce the check. The meme is ridiculous that uses this same logic regarding something that is so vastly complex like a country's economy. It's not just that it's apples and oranges, it's whales versus mosquitoes. Come to think of it, this is how poorly informed Americans are hand fed propaganda, propaganda that serves the elite rich - of course. "Hey tell them the US economy is like a checkbook, they'll understand that..."

CNN: Stocks to fall on Greece uncertainty
...a left-wing coalition opposed to austerity as the way to close Greece's debt gap will have three days to form a government.

...investors' fears that Greece might have to drop out of the eurozone.

The people have had it. They're tired and broke and feeling abused by a tiny group of people so wealthy and so arrogant that they really believe that they deserve to run everything and everyone ruthlessly. They fit the vision Orwell had of boot stamping on the face of a person endlessly. Europe is united against Austerity and the reign of the banksters. Where it will all go now is anyone's ?? My guess is the elites will now abandon the EURO-ZONE. The right is already counterattacking as I write this. They'll now pull the stops out to defeat Obama and the joke is they own him as well. But, they don't trust him. Mitt is one of them heart and soul.

America will not go the way of Europe. We're too entangled in the corporate economy which simultaneously sustains us in many ways and depletes us in probably more ways. The corporate media is too strong and overpowering, blowing out the flame of any movement, as we know May Day was not even covered. Plus strong segments of the population are literally obsessed with their own specific agenda. Look at North Carolina, they had to pass a ban on gay marriage. Seems a little excessive to me, I would have almost appreciated it if they did something like giving people a fine for saying the world "gay."

We are in major decline. What happens is some people go about their business collecting enough money to live or collecting enough chips of some kind to live, cooperative etc, and then the fracturing up aspect continues. It seems to me that all of the language on FOX and such has virtually nothing whatsoever to do with uniting or cooperating. It's about dividing and fracturing which works to maintain the corporate economy. A divided angry self loathing people are easy to control.
