The Market On Thursday

Good morning. It is 48 degrees and sunny here in Upstate NY. In a rush this morning - heading out to see the chiropractor.

At 7:35 a.m. futures are flat, the dollar is up against major world currencies, and the price of oil is up per barrel. The market is poised to open flat except...

The weekly report on first time layoff claims comes through at 8:30 and that number could swing the markets.

Otherwise investors are coolly waiting for Facebook's IPO and yours truly is not interested.

Investors are momentarily setting aside eurozone worries and focusing on US economic data.

Investors remain worried what a Greek exit from the eurozone would mean for broader financial system in both Europe and around the globe.
