Giffords' Progress

We are looking forward to seeing Rep. Giffords leave the hospital.

Civility is fine but the root causes of the toxicity in the political and social air are complex and always hidden from view. The reporting on these incidents in some ways trivialize that complexity as our attention goes away from the structural and core problems within and rests on the intensity and heartbreaking quality of another shooting.

Our government is set up for the enhancement of the highest economic tier, the top few percent. The rest of us are fending for ourselves. That strain between the top tier and the rest of us is growing, and that as you know is an understatement.

The diversions to keep our eyes off this ball are designed by that very same top tier.
