Seeping

This is not what we wanted to see or hear. Seeping oil could mean that the well pipe deep in the surface of the Earth is ruptured. If that is the case, the problem grows in scope.

McClatchy: BP well, thought sealed, may be leaking, officials fear
If this scenario is accurate, the well cap will likely be reopened to prevent the existing environmental disaster from becoming even worse and even harder to fix. Once the valves are open, oil would gush once again into the ocean, cutting the pressure on the well system for the first time in three days.

No surprise here. If the Gov't foolishly allows drilling at these depths again it will because of corruption plain and simple. Once the GOP gets back in power we can be damn sure though they will allow this kind of stupidity anyway. The real disaster is the flow of unregulated $$ into our political system. Leaks , cave ins, collapsing bridges , lousy health care , poisonings etc et al. all the results of the crony system we now have.

Clearly the response to an emergency at 5,000 feet below sea level is out of the oil industry's ability. What I suspect will happen or might happen is a PR campaign to show people that the oil companies really do care and that they are "investing" in more ways to take care of accidents and leaks. They can't let pools of oil lay untapped at any depth. Its not going to happen. They will go after it. We can ban it all we want, and I want to see it banned as well. But they will make claims that they can now handle it. Just watch.

Your right and @ the same time they will hire a legion of lawyers to pay out as little as possible to the parties they've hurt. It's just the way all of these creatures operate now.
