As time goes forward I'm liking less and less of what I see and hear from this guy, already. It appears the power has already rotted his brain. Sad. Look at his decisions so far. Except for a few $$ ( scraps) (AKA The Stimulus bill) thrown off the table to try and assuage the massive amounts of pain out here , he's basically been the military Industrial-security- Insurance/ finance sectors man 100%. Is this really CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN? I'm starting to wonder.
Chomsky used to say that the differences between parties were negligible except that there is usually a tiny amount of jiggle to the Democrats. That jiggle translates into improved conditions for a lot of people. Imagine a Republican president right now, someone like Bush, they would be addressing terrorism or Pakistan exclusively and the recession wouldn't even make the front page. Plus Obama does get to make judge picks. Imagine who Bush would pick for the Supremes right now, another neocon federalist.
Agreed, nevertheless, can't we do better then this? Even Eisenhower had more guts and Nixon for Christ sakes was a socialist compared to Clinton or this guy! It's disheartening the Power the Corp. establishment now has over both parties. The people get nada anymore and it's starting to show. The country is in decline everywhere but in the heart of the reddest of States these days.
