Krugman On The Economy


Krugman lays out the economic problems that may still arise and the iffy news that suggests a recovery is occurring.

1. Things are still getting worse.
2. Some of the good news isn’t convincing.
3. There may be other shoes yet to drop.
4. Even when it’s over, it won’t be over.

The forest fire analogy is a good 1. up to a pt. The fire is still burning though.

Sure is burning.

I was talking with a woman this morning, mid 60s, who is a professional, and she is not able to retire. Her IRA is in the tubes. Her story is probably very common, although I haven't seen numbers yet.

I have so many friends that are to be polite fucked. What does a person in their 60's with no pension and a 401 K that is now toast do until they get Medicare and SS? Even then u can't live on SS and Medicare is going broke. I blame all this on both parties wanting to cook the books and allow the worst in society to get away with murder. hell is to be paid for all this delusion and denial.
